Varsity Head Coach Trista Tatsch
This will be Coach Trista Tatsch's third year as the head coach for the Lady Highlanders, but it will be her 19th year coaching here at TWHS. She is excited to start up another great basketball season, and is looking forward to a good playoff run this year. Coach Tatsch is a 1999 graduate of Texas A&M-Kingsville with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Health. She loves to stay active by running whenever she has an opportunity and competing in numerous road races. She even had the opportunity to compete in the Boston Marathon at one point. She loves to travel in the summers and see every beach that she possibly can! Coach Tatsch feels absolutely blessed to have the opportunity to teach and coach here at TWHS and believes that there is nothing better than being a HIGHLANDER!!
 
Junior Varsity Coach Richard Chiamulera
This season will mark Coach Richard Chiamulera's third season within the Lady Highlander Basketball program. He spent his first season as the Freshmen Red team coach, before moving into the JV coach position. Previous to coaching at The Woodlands, 'Coach C' spent time coaching basketball and softball in Houston and Memphis; football in Tennessee; and track and field in Michigan, Tennessee, and at The Woodlands. He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2011, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education English and Secondary Education Physical Education; and from Walden University in 2016, earning a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Integrating Technology in the Curriculum. He feels blessed to have be able to continue as a part of the Highlander family and work with such amazing individuals!
 
Freshman Red Coach Ashley Davis
Coach Ashley Davis is starting her second season as the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach here at the Woodlands High School. Coach Davis has participated in basketball all her life with her high school career beginning at Eisenhower High School, where she played all four years and graduated with honors in 2004. She continued her basketball career at Houston Baptist University from 2004-2008; there she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology/Pedagogy. After graduating, Coach Davis went straight into coaching at Aldine Middle School in Aldine ISD. After five years of coaching on the middle school level, she helped open Benjamin O. Davis Ninth Grade School where she was named the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach from 2013-2017. During her time at Davis, she led the Freshman Lady Falcons to four consecutive District Championships in which the last 3 were undefeated seasons. Coach Davis left the Lady Falcons with a 50-1 District Record and an Overall Record of 88-10. During her coaching duration at Davis 9th, she managed to achieve a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Liberty University in 2016. Now entering her 11th year in coaching, Coach Davis is looking forward to bringing all of her love and passion for the game of basketball to the Lady Highlanders program, in hopes to help capture unforgettable memories and to reach higher heights!
 
Freshman Green Coach Ryan Clapsaddle
Coach Clapsaddle is a native of The Woodlands, TX and a graduate of The Woodlands High School. In high school, he competed in several sports including football, basketball, track, and soccer. After high school, he attended Angelo State University, where he was a member of the football team. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in Kinesiology, and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. Coach Clapsaddle has always had a passion for sports, which led to his decision to pursue a career in coaching. He enjoys to opportunity to work with high school aged students and make an impact on their life. This will be Coach Clapsaddle’s second year of teaching and coaching.
